Shape Denver's Future: Vibrant Denver 2025 Bond!
This year, the City of Denver is working with communities to create a new General Obligation Bond program that funds public improvements in every neighborhood.Â
General Obligation Bonds are a local financing tool that cities across the U.S., including Denver, use to build and maintain public infrastructure. Voters must approve the bond and will not create new taxes.Â
Street sweeping season has begun, so it's time to monitor your street parking.Â
Denver’s annual street sweeping program removes dirt and debris off city streets, keeping it out of our air and water. Check the signs on the street where you park and sign up for notifications to help you avoid that $50 ticket. The street sweeping season runs from April through November.
Support our neighbors in need by donating gently used men’s and women’s clothing, business attire, shoes, and accessories during the Denver Police Department’s “Look Good, Feel Good” Clothing Drive! Your donations will help community members feel confident and prepared for job interviews and new opportunities.
Drop off your items at any of the six Denver Police District Stations, including District 1 at 1311 West 46th Avenue, now through April 10. Every piece of clothing counts, and can make a real difference for those working toward a fresh start.Â
Help us spread the word by sharing this information with friends and family! For more information email christie.mochoruk@denvergov.org.

Rezoning in Denver Just Got More Equitable
Exciting news! Denver City Council has approved updates to the rezoning process, making it more inclusive and accessible for everyone
What's new?
Clearer Review Criteria: Rezoning proposals must now be consistent with neighborhood plans and serve the public interest.
Enhanced Community Engagement:Â Renters will be directly notified, signs will be posted earlier, and online information will be easier to find.
Simplified Communication: Notices and materials will be easier to understand.
These changes are a big step towards a more transparent and equitable rezoning process.
Office of Neighborhood Safety Community Advisory Board
Denver City Council is seeking applicants to fill five openings on the newly established Office of Neighborhood Safety Community Advisory Board. The community advisory board shall advise the Office of Neighborhood Safety (ONS) of the needs of residents and/or neighborhoods of the City and County of Denver related to:
gun, group, and gang violence.
youth violence prevention and programming.
civilian response and service connection to those in crisis.
job readiness for persons experiencing homelessness and/or individuals involved in the criminal justice system.
Denver City Council is seeking candidates to fill a vacancy on Denver Great Kids Head Start Policy Council. Head Start is a national program that provides comprehensive early childhood education, health, nutrition, and parent involvement services to low-income children and families.Â
Most meetings are held virtually the fourth Wednesday of each month from 5 pm to 7 pm. The Head Start Policy Council occasionally holds the monthly meetings in person at Clayton Learning Center at 3751 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd in Denver. The Council meets annually in November to establish the following year’s meeting schedule, location, and time.
