With the holidays just around the corner, it's a season for gratitude, giving back, and remembering the importance of our real-world connections.
While it's easy to get caught up in the media world, the story is in our face-to-face moments – a chat on the sidewalk, a hello at the coffee shop, or catching up at school drop-off.
These days, it feels more important than ever to celebrate what unites us and lend a helping hand where possible.
Speaking of lending a hand, we're excited to team up with the Azatlan Recreation Center for their annual Toys and Christmas celebration!
Another great opportunity to support your neighborhood's children is to donate to Trevista's Teacher Support Fund. All donations are tax-deductible.
Did you know Colorado ranks in the bottom third for public school funding? Since 2008, the state has withheld $10 billion from K-12 education, forcing schools to rely on community fundraising to support essential staff.
As a Title 1 school, Trevista faces these same funding challenges. With help from our community, we can retain vital support staff.
Mark your calendars! We're joining forces with our friends at BRUN for a festive Holiday Sipper on December 10th (the location is coming soon!).
Please also take a moment to honor our veterans tomorrow for their patriotism, love of country, and willingness to serve America.
Lastly, don't forget that our neighborhood is always evolving. Stay in the loop on the latest land-use updates for both residential and commercial spaces. It's your chance to stay informed and make your voice heard!
Warmly,
The SUNI Board
