SUBJECT: SUNI October 2024 Newsletter

Hello, Sunnyside!

Thank you for joining us at Chaffee Park for our 2nd Annual Health and Wellness Festival last weekend. It was a fun day with many talented local health, beauty, movement, and wellness professionals. We hope you left feeling inspired and energized!

As we move into Fall, we’re thrilled to invite you to various spooky and exciting events to help usher in the season!

Our SUNI Halloween is coming up, and we’ve packed it full of fun activities for the whole family:

  • Halloween House Decorating Contest: Is your house the spookiest on the block? Enter our 3rd annual contest! Whether you're a resident or a business owner, submit your entry by Thursday, October 24th to win prizes!

  • Pumpkin Painting & Pet Parade: On Sunday, October 27th, come down to Cherry Bean Coffee for free pumpkin painting from 10 AM to noon, followed by our beloved Pet Parade at Lily's Bath and Biscuits at 12 PM. Dress up your pets and compete for fun prizes!

With elections around the corner, this time of year also brings an important civic duty—voting.  It’s a way to shape the future of our neighborhood, city, and beyond.

Take a moment to verify your voter registration and be prepared when those ballots arrive. Join us in making this Fall not only festive but also a time for community action.

Stay spooky, Sunnyside, and don’t forget to vote!
